Love the artwork, not the artist.. in most cases.

'cause there's some very talented people out there who are complete assholes or morons. I can enjoy someone's work without wanting to hang out with them.

To be honest I prefer to go with the artist first. The reason being there are hundreds of deviants on here that are phenomenal, which is all well and good and i love looking at the artwork, but it's only temporary and the artist can sometimes see you as a statistic. However when you go with the person i find that it is inspiring and amazing how you can get to know them, and at the same time watch the skill in that artist grow tremendously over the period of time you get to know them. It not only makes you feel a sense of joy for them but it also inspires you to do the same more than any other magical piece of art you see done by a artist who you have never even seen any replies to critique or questions from. So gunna have to go with the artist on this one. Also i loved your other journal on the faith thing. I'm of no religion but that was an amazing conversation =)
Also, keep up the good work! I'm really looking forward to seeing you do more photoshop paintings, they are really looking good!

thanks so much jamie, thanks for your insights about my journal.
also, the "faith" journal of mine was just stolen lol, regardless, it still gave impact to other people and love to read their thoughts about it.
thank you for the support =D
keep it up :-)

no offence to artists but i'd say it'd be their art, thats the thing they put they're feeling into and its what they're known for

I like the artwork first, the artist him/herself doesn't usually show interest till later.

I find artists I like by their artwork, that's the only medium by which I can know most artists. It's all about the art here. If the artist is to be interesting, the artist must be able to separate him/herself from his/her work and exhibit some trait of value.

i tend to see alot of peoples work, without having actually met the artist, esp on deviart. so, you don't have to like the person at all.
